IEEE Trinidad and Tobago Section

STEP event 2014

Held in Room 101, Faculty of Engineering, UWI on 9th October 2014 at 1pm

This event seeks to educated undergraduate and graduate students alike in understanding what the world of work in electrical engineering is all about, and the level of comportment and etiquette that should be followed.

Speakers for this event included Yogeshwar Basdeo who spoke about the transition from undergraduate to work and Mr. Winston Boodoo who gave a entrepreneurial perspective to the undergraduate who sort employment and what actions could be taken to be more employable.

The Trinidad and Tobago Subsection of the IEEE was created on February 13th, 2003 after being approved by the Region 9 Regional Activitites Board (RAB). The subsection was led by an interim steering committee who later became the first executive of the IEEE Subsection. On November 12th, 2005, the Board of Directors of the IEEE, based on the recommendation of the Region 9 Director, Francisco Martinez, approved the elevation of the IEEE T&T Subsection to Full Section status.
